Section 16 – Mini Stock Rules

Five point harness mandatory. Approved racing seat mandatory. No plastic or fiberglass seat, must be aluminum.
Minimum 2 1/2 lb working fire extinguisher. Window net mandatory.

All carpets, vinyl and glass must be removed. Front glass windshield optional. Full lexon front windshield highly recommended.

Any year from 1965 or newer. No four wheel drives or mid or rear engine cars.

Maximum 4 cylinder, 8 valve. No performance engines such as quad four or Probe multi-valve. No turbo or super charged. Any 2-barrel carburetor.

NO ALUMINUM HEADS. Cast iron head only. No aftermarket heads.

NO engine set back must be in stock location in stock sub frame for make and model.

No coil eliminators or coil-overs.

Rear ends must be stock and may be welded. No 9" Ford.

Minimum weight after feature is 2250 lbs. with driver. All added weight must be securely fastened and painted white. No mercury ballast permitted. Track scales govern every car.

Body MUST BE STOCK APPEARING. NO LATE MODEL LOOK A LIKES
WHAT-SO-EVER Must have stock front and rear nose pieces.
Cannot slope or wedge front end.
All body panels must be of OEM standards, NO ALUMINUM BODIES.
6” spoiler, spoiler no wider than the top of the rear trunk deck.
No side boards, or fender flares.
No skirting or ground effects on bottom of car.
4” Body clearance all the way around the car

Absolutely NO FULL TUBE CHASSIS ALLOWED.
All decisions made on this matter by an official, is final and decisive.
CHASSIS needs to consist of the following key elements to be legal.

Complete Stock Front Sub.

Complete Stock Rear Sub.

Complete Stock Floor Pan

Complete Stock Firewall

Complete Stock Front Sub.

Mufflers mandatory. Exhaust must exit behind driver’s compartment. 4” body clearance all the way around.

After market K- Member replacement is allowed for safety and structural integrity and strength purposes, but it is optional.

No Tubular upper and lower control arms allowed.
Load bolts allowed all four wheels.

Adjustable rear trailing arms allowed only in stock location. No quick change rear ends or made for racing transmissions.

A minimum four-post cage required with four left door bars and three right door bars. Cage must be welded to frame in at least four places and connected at the top. Front and rear hoops allowed. Cages must be constructed of 1 1/2" steel tubing (0.90) with gussets. Steel plate 18"x24" mandatory in left door. A floor plate is mandatory. No bars in front of nose piece.

Made for racing fuel cells only. Fuel cell must not be lower than 6" off the ground. Fuel line must run below driver’s compartment. Fuel cells must be mounted in a tin can fully enclosed. Must have frame structure top and bottom with two straps or bars across the top.

Cast iron or headers allowed.

Cannot exceed 72" at bottom of tire outside to outside of tire wall

Wheels may be width no to exceed 8”. Steel wheels only. Tires must be purchased from Galesburg Speedway. Hoosier 790 series 13” or radial 70 series. 1” lug nuts required. All tires will be stamped with Galesburg Speedway logo. NO TIRE SOAK!

No full roller cylinder heads, hydraulic, and solid lifter heads are legal to run.

Racing Clutch is allowed, but you must have a 2” inspection Hole in your bell housing for inspection purposes.

Stock racing shocks allowed, but only in stock location.
No Rebuildable or proportioning shocks allowed. (i.e. penske, etc.)
